Greetings everyone,
I will keep this update very short.
We had to adjust couple of things on the iKON housing, as you can see from the comment section (where a backer commented about this issue), German immigration did not allow the iKONs into Germany, because the CE/Rosh certification stamps were not placed on the iKONs itself, despite the fact its on the Packaging Box. The backers in Germany were unable to receive their iKONs despite translating and sending the scan copy of the original certificates to the German immigration.
So we had to quickly fix this problem and we are glad to let you know that it is all going well. This was also one of the reason why we only made and sent out 1000 pcs as our first batch, in order for us to have the opportunity to correct and amend any unforeseen problems that may arise. The iKONs won't be ready till the next 7 days. Placing the CE/Rosh certification stamps on the iKONs is a very important aspect. My sincere apologies for the delay.

A quick update to let you all know that we are massive awesomely to bring deliver your ultimate tracking device soon. We’ve been working tirelessly to create a versatile tracker that truly helps you watch over your most valuable items no matter how big or small. QUICK UPDATE ON THE DELIVERY OF 2nd BATCH OF iKONS:
Greetings Everyone,
Thank you so very much for your patience and support so far. I will like to let you know that the 2nd batch of iKONs are almost ready and so is the iKON application (both the iOS and Android app).
Basic & Advanced Applications: The software will be released in two stages. The basic iKON app without server or log in and the advanced iKON app with server (as some backers doesn't want us to included sign in functionality into the advanced application and there is no way for us to implement the "CrowdFind" functionality without the log in feature, which works with our back end server), therefore server is required for us to add some advanced functionalities to the advanced application.
The full functional BASIC iKON app will be released in the first or second week of May, 2017, which features all functionalities except the "CrowdFind" and the advanced iKON app will be released later with the "CrowdFind" functionality.
2nd Batch of iKONs: Based on the feedback we've received, we've added some basic features to the iKON tracker, also we've increased the beep counts on the iKON from 3 beeps to 5 beeps in less frequency (see the video below):
The certifications are now well crested on the iKONs as well and not only printed on the packaging.
Taxes and custom charges: Since the iKON project was crowdfunded and you guys supported us to bring it to life and the reward is to get the iKON trackers. We are going to mark down the price on customer invoice, because it doesn't make sense for you guys to be paying massive taxes on items as small as these, which are you are only receiving as reward for helping bring a project to life, especially for our European backers.
I would have love to mark them as gifts, but this maybe again one of many Indiegogo's rules.
The iKONs will be ready by the end of the month of April and shipment will commence immediately. I don't know the ETA yet, once I do I will let you know. I wish that more backers could go through the update section, as all answers to all questions are on here.
As for those that are yet to receive the Backerkit survey in order for you to select your iKON colours, I am sincerely sorry about this, I am currently working on it and awaiting a response from BackerKit. I will keep you guys posted.
