                         *** UPDATE ON MASS PRODUCTION *** 

Good day Everyone, 

After such a long wait, finally we can now start mass production and get the iKON/s into the hands of our super awesome backers, those that gave us wings to fly. 

1) iKON:
One of our team member was with our manufacturing company in China during the final product testing stage and he was satisfied with the current state of the product. We are now good to go with mass production, but the manufacturing company we are working with won’t initiate mass production until I personally received the final product and this has been mailed to me via DHL, this is one of the policy of the manufacturing company we are partnering with. Below is a screenshot of the package: 

2) Android and iOS Applications:

We are also speeding up our work on finalising our applications and we've just updated both our Android and iOS on Thursday (15th of Dec, 2016). The applications are responding greatly. I am just awaiting the delivery of the final trackers, in order to personally test it myself, as a mass production requirement.

I will keep you guys posted with all progress. We are truly grateful for you undying support and love. We are almost there and thanks to you all, for believing and supporting us.

                 FINAL iKONs, iOS App and MASS PRODUCTION:

Greetings Everyone, 

We would like to sincerely thank you all for your patience and support. 

We are truly excited and joyous at the iKON HQ.
The final and official iKON/s has successfully passed all our stress and quality assurance tests, we are now greatly motivated to start the iKON mass production, they are all going to be completely water proofed and not just water resistant. The image here is the final & latest iKON (fully tested):

We are really pumped and highly motivated at the moment. We have also successful solved all major problems we had encountered with our iOS application. Below is the image of the newly updated iOS application:

Finally, as a precaution and to avoid any unforeseen circumstances, we are purposely taking some extra days to radically test the devices. We've received some emails from some of the backers, advising us to not rush the product, especially now that we are a little behind schedule. 

I will share some additional updates with you before the end of week to let you know when we are starting mass production and shipment.

  UPDATE: Final Device Mould, iOS & Android Applications

Greetings Everyone, 

Based on the emails we've received, some of the backers expressed their experiences with existing trackers. Where they lose their valuables alongside their tracking devices, simply because they didn't know when to replace their tracker's battery and also because water got into their tracking devices and damaged the battery with the device.

We knew immediately, that it was important for us to completely overcome this problems, which was why we diligently improved the iKON Tracker and made it Waterproof. Not only is iKON water proof but it also FLOATS whenever immersed/drop into water (as seen in the video we shared in our previous update).  

1) Final Device Mould:

Finally, we have fixed the issue we had with the gap/space between button and the power switch, the image below is the newly manufactured iKON, which will be undergoing final stress test next week (Monday to Thursday). Kindly bear with us, as it is extremely important that we ship out faultless devices. 
 

2) Android and iOS Applications: 

We have also been able to fixed all previous problems we had encountered with our SELFIE and GPS mapping functionalities on both Android (Updated 03/Dec/16) and iOS applications (Updated on the 29/Nov/16). We would have love to share the applications with you, but we thought it would be best not to share them with you at this stage, in order for us to avoid any service interruption. In addition, it was our intention to make iKON smarter by adding some advance features and functionalities such as; Integration with IFTTT, Philip hue, Garageio etc, which will then enables you to control your light bulb, garage door, music (mobile phones) etc from the comfort of your iKON device/s. 

We were unable to implement these features, as we do not have enough man power and resources. This explains why we introduced the magnetic chargers in the first place, as a means for us to generate extra resources to enhance and support iKON, since we have lots of great plans for iKON Tracker and we are sure you wont be disappointed. Why not, when we already have established and long term relationship with our charging cable manufacturers (since 2013).

Good news Everyone, 

UPDATE ON WATERPROOF CASING:

Yey!!! We were able to change the waterproof housing and it's all great at the moment, below is a short video of the test carried out on some of the manually fabricated iKON: 

Below is also an image of one of the devices after been immersed into water, the waterproof housing test was successful. We only need to re-adjust the multifunctional button, as the gap/space between the button and the power switch is a little too wide.  

We will like to thank you for your patience and continuos support. We are truly working diligently to make sure that you get the best out of the iKON and have excellent experience with your iKON. This is our ultimate goal at the moment!!! We are almost there and we are super excited about our progress so far. We won't let you down.

 Now The Original Story Behind Our Magnetic Charger: 

Like we promised in one of our previous updates, to share more details of our Magnetic Charger with you, especially the story behind it.  I use to design & develop Power banks, Tablet Pc, Charging Cables etc and sell in Africa back in 2013 - 2015 (Byandby). Here are some images for you: 

Due to the strong connection I had and still have with our manufacturer, we were able to easily design and manufacture our Magnetic Charger (Volta). 

The main mission behind the development of our charger was to put the product into people's hand for just $15 & $19 only, which puts a smile on their faces. We then use the proceeds to build schools for African students, starting from the High School I attended.

We already have several of the chargers completely made, tested and ready to be sent to those that got our special iKON offer with Free Magnetic Charger.

Dear Backers, 

This is a quick update to keep you abreast of our progress. 

1) Software: iOS Application 
We have successfully implemented the iOS application and we had it tested on couple of iPhones. There are couple of issues with the iOS application and we are currently working on fixing them (These main issues are with the Camera and App Reconnection with the tracking device). 

We were tempted to share the iOS App download link with you, but we thought it would be best not to do so for now. We will definitely be sharing the iKON application with you sometime very soon. 

2) Hardware: New iKON Model
We are currently re-testing the new iKON model water resistant capability. 
We had hoped to finalised the enhancement of the new model last week, in order to start mass production on Saturday (19/Nov/2016), but we encountered a very small issue with the waterproof housing. We are now changing some of the material for the waterproof casing. 
There is nothing to worry about as this is a minor issue as we only need to change the casing material and we will be good to go.

The waterproof casing will be 100% completed this week and we will start mass production immediately, which only requires 10 days.

We have partnered with both BackerKit and Floship to help get your orders to you seamlessly and swiftly.
