Shipping Update:
Greetings everyone,
I hope you are all kicking well. I will make this update very straight and short. I received some emails from couple of backers expressing their disapproval of upgrading the iKON Tracker to a water proof housing, letting me know they that never asked me to make the house waterproof.. Mmm that was a very hurtful low blow.
That been said, I am sure you wanted your iKONs in your hands so much and I wish you know that I am so much eager to let you have them, because the more delivery is delayed, the more money we spend.
1) Below is an image of our active inventories in the fulfilment centre, ready to be shipped out:
If you noticed the numbers very well, there 599 blacks, 199 white and 199 orange iKONS, with 3 pieces missing, these 3 pieces were those sent to us in Australia for testing and they were the iKONs in the unboxing video.
2) We were not allowed to make payment for shipping, as they needed to wait for the system to fully verify the inventories and this process cannot be override. Now that the verification is fully done, we've only received the shipping invoice for the first batch (1000 pieces) on the 1st of March, 2017, kindly see the image below:
3) Finally, the shipping fees you paid was only disbursed by Indiegogo on the 27th of February, 2017. See the image below:
There were so many factors to be considered when going through the on boarding processes for the first time. Now I have learned a lot of things and I believe that all these knowledge will have lots of great and positive impact on our next project.
In addition, all those that supported us by paying their $5 shipping fee, will be getting their iKONs from this first batch.
I love transparency and I wasn't suppose to be sharing all these backend images with you, but I thought why not, since I have nothing to hide.

CLARIFICATION:
Greetings All,
As I have said, we only found out about the picking and packing cost on Friday after we finished on boarding and verifying all SKUs. Below is the tracking details of our inventory detailing when it was sent from the factory in China to Fulfilment centre in Hong Kong:
I knew nothing about the surge in fees of the picking and packing until the on board etc were done. I am like an open book, challenges and obstacles are part of life and we should always embrace them, as the are characteristics of living. The way to make a strong man is through resistance, persistence, patience The only place where there are no problems is the cemetery, because those that are there careless about any sort of problem going on in the world today.
I will say this again, this has nothing to do with money, if it was, our current VOLTA campaign on Kickstarter had raised over $90,000 in just 12 days with over 1,350 people. I was asked many times by some of our backers to put a mockup price on the USB Type-C connector and then release it to them to pay for it, which I didn't do, but I released the USB Type-C FREE of CHARGE, with no added cost. If I was truly greedy or motivated by just making money, that was a very great opportunity for me to make extra money.
I am driven by quality and excellency.
So my sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this $5 fee might have caused you. It was never my intention to do upset anyone.

SHIPPING COMMENCES NEXT WEEK:
Good day Everyone,
Thank you all so very much for your patience. Having set everything up for delivery, there were some new information concerning shipment that got to us this weekend.
There was a surge to the original estimated cost to deliver last year, as picking and packing was cost was not included in the initial fulfilment cost.
Therefore I will like to urge everyone to kindly pay a flat fee of $5 for shipping (which consist: Picking, Packing, Tracking and Delivery). We didn't intend to share this with you initial, as we wanted to take care of it ourselves. We believe it is the best idea to share this burden you, as it will be a really great relieve for us and enhance the level of delivery of your iKONs.

UNBOXING iKON and EXPLANATION OF OUR MOULD
Good day Everyone,
First of all, I will like to appreciate you for your time and patience so far. This update is an important update as we are now at the edge of shipping out our first 1,000 pieces of iKONs to the early backers.
You might not know this, but we have scrapped iKON master mould up to 3 times and had to start all over again, because we wanted to make sure we give you nothing but an iKON with high quality. Quality can never be compared to anything and we will never jeopardise our integrity for anything else, which explains why we had to be so cautious about the final iKONs. We had to add and spend extra $90,000 on this project in order to make sure it is completely perfect. Here is a video below where I showed the 3 phases of iKON mould (Normal mould, Water resistant mould and Waterproof mould):
When you receive you iKON you will truly love it and sincerely appreciate the level of hard work we've invested into making it as great as it is, because we believe that you deserve nothing but the best. This was why we invested all our resource and energy into making our hardware right and now we will spend more time to fix bugs on our softwares, as we can always improve this anytime, but we have to take a very different approach when it comes to the hardware. Like I said you will love your iKON when you receive and you will know that it was worth waiting for. If iKON cant beat Tile and TrackR, then we need not to back iKON at all. So hold your breath till you receive it.
Finally I will our newly launched VOLTA campaign is doing amazingly great on Kickstarter with over 313% raised in just 3 days into our campaign. The success of this campaign will help with creating more innovative product and make iKON greater.
